Cappadocia
Türkiye
Overview
Join us for an incredible six days spent in the iconic landscapes of Cappadocia and its more off the beaten path surroundings, taking advantage of perfect autumn temperatures and avoiding the crowds of peak season.
Ride among fairy chimneys, ancient cave dwellings, monasteries and hot air balloons; venture into quiet villages beyond the main valleys; and ride alongside the semi-wild Yılkı horses. With sporty horses and stays in small local hotels eating traditional Turkish meals, this trip is about capturing the best of adventure, culture, and natural beauty.
Fit, forward-moving horses make this a great trip for riders who enjoy fast, active riding. You'll spend four nights in local hotels and one night camping under the stars, weather permitting. We end the adventure with a visit to a hammam—Türkiye’s classic bathhouse experience—to relax before departure.

Türkiye Field Notes
“Cappadocia was a spur-of-the-moment, "yes." Long days riding (sometimes flying) in the saddle with strangers who quickly became friends.
The call to prayer woke us each morning as it wove through the valleys. Steam rose from one of many glasses of Turkish chai.
Above me, a sea of balloons drifted across a painted sky at dawn. Below, the earth shared stories of volcanic eruptions and the weathering of time. Tuff shaped into fairy chimneys, pillars, and cave homes carved with intention.
I felt suspended between traces of historic civilizations, valleys shaped by generations, and the present I rode through.”
