Mongolia

Overview

Join us for a rugged expedition in Mongolia. Guaranteed to be an adventure to the country’s far western reaches where the Altai Mountains rise from the vast steppe, this expedition is a deep dive into local culture and place.

Trip highlights include a multi-day pack trip riding horses and packing camels and a homestay with a nomadic Kazakh family to experience their daily life and unique style of horsemanship.

The first expedition will attend Naadam, Mongolia’s largest festival with horse racing, archery, and wrestling. The second July expedition will feature a number of hands-on cultural experiences.

Dynamic and raw, this expedition immerses you in a culture and landscape where horses have long been a cornerstone. Best for go-with-the-flow travelers with a sense of humor and a love of adventure!
